About Jordan & Kristin
The story of how Jordan and Kristin Andre got here is quite incredible. Jordan has known he was called to Africa since he watched a documentary about Africa on TV when he was 11. Kristin was drawn more to the inner-city and felt called there since she first visited Los Angeles when she was 15. But in college, when she first really learned of life in Africa through a project for a leadership class, she knew that was where God wanted her too.
The two of them met in middle school, started dating in high school and were married right after graduating from college. At that time, the Lord clearly called them to Los Angeles. So that’s where they went. And then they met Francis Chan. He challenged them to begin living life as if it all were for God, for his glory. Not long after that challenge, God allowed them both to step foot on the beautiful red dirt of Africa and ever since then they’ve been preparing for this.
The Andres lived in Moshi, Tanzania in 2010 (back when it was still just the two of them, as preparation for what was to come) and then spent time living in Los Angeles again, where their oldest child, their son, Moses, was born. After his arrival, God clearly called them back to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (where their roots are) to plug into a loving and supportive church family who would send them out well for the long term. Anthem Church has been just that and more over the years and they are now preparing to head to Nairobi, Kenya (with two kids – their little girl, Zuri, joined their family in 2014) to serve with Africa Inland Mission in 2017.
