Global Mission Team // February 22, 2019
Dear Anthem, I am excited to share some good news! Please join me in praising God for providing my visa to go to Italy! I recently traveled to San Francisco to apply for the visa a second time after the first application was denied in early December. This is an important breakthrough — not only does it open the door for me to serve in Italy, but now it sets a new precedent for future Cru missionaries going to San Francisco to apply for Italian visas.

We now have a better understanding of what is needed to meet the strict requirements of the SF Italian consulate. I am grateful to have had help from a lawyer who works with Cru and so thankful for each of you who have been praying. I will have a departure date set soon! ~ Emily Johnson

God has provided 83% of my monthly support. In the coming weeks when I reach 90% of my goal, I will be able to schedule an appointment for my visa application at the Italian Consulate in San Francisco. It’s my goal to return to Florence, Italy before January. Thank you so much for your prayers and support! ~ Emily Johnson | Italy
